Dr. Jeff Askew serves as the Director of the Commercial Music and Worship Arts programs. He holds a B.M. in Guitar Performance and Music Education from Biola, and both an M.M. and D.M.A. in Studio/Jazz Guitar from the University of Southern California.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Askew is an accomplished studio guitarist with extensive credits in film, television, and live performance. His work includes the Grammy-winning soundtrack for The Greatest Showman and projects with Disney, DreamWorks, Warner Bros., Pixar, NBC, and Sony. He has performed or recorded with artists such as Missy Elliott, Kesha, Aloe Blacc, David Foster, and Kristin Chenoweth.
He was recognized by Worship Leader magazine as a 鈥淏est of the Best鈥 educator and continues to bridge industry experience with classroom instruction to equip the next generation of musicians.
